I launched CD Health & Performance to bring science to practice.
I'm Ciara Dickson, Clinical Exercise Specialist and founder of CD Health & Performance. My experience ranges from leading rehabilitation for people living with chronic health conditions to working with elite athletes - and I bring that same clinical knowledge to every session, paired with genuine, dedicated care.
The result is a comfortable space to reach your potential at your own pace, whatever stage of life you're at. As a busy mum myself, I know how hard it can be to find time to exercise - so I've built a range of options designed to fit around your life, not the other way round.

About Ciara
From the dance floor to the clinic
Twenty years of competitive Irish dancing built a lifelong obsession with movement. A clinical career rebuilding it in people recovering from illness and injury sharpened that into a method. Here's the path that led to CD Health & Performance.
Irish dancing
All-Scotland and Great Britain champion, 5th in the World for solos, and two-time Senior Ceili World Champion - the root of Ciara's passion for movement and performance.
MSc Clinical Exercise Science
Graduated from Edinburgh Napier University, alongside a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science.
Senior Rehabilitation Specialist & Personal Trainer, Nuffield Health
Supporting people living with and beyond cancer, chronic pain, long covid, and metabolic and neurological conditions - alongside athletes building strength and reducing injury risk.
Pelvic health specialism
Currently training further to support women across every stage of life - informed by her own journey through pregnancy and postpartum recovery. The course covers female athletes through every life stage, right up to menopause and beyond, and includes supporting women recovering from a hysterectomy back to full strength and performance.
CD Health & Performance founded
Launched with the aim of bringing true science to practice - helping to de-bunk the myths advertised online and creating a safe space for people to reach their potential. Whether you have never exercised before and don't know where to begin, you have a chronic health condition and are looking for someone with experience in managing symptoms, or you are a competitive dancer ready to take your performance to the next level, CD Health & Performance would love to have you on board.

Dance School Packages
Summer Dancer Performance Programme
Having competed for 20 years and placed in the Top 5 at the World Championships, I know firsthand the difference that structured, evidence-based training makes to a dancer's performance and enjoyment. Drawing on my BSc in Sport & Exercise Science and MSc in Clinical Exercise Science, this progressive 7-week programme teaches the foundations of strength and conditioning to build overall performance and reduce injury risk.

The Kick-Off Workshop
90-minute session - in person or virtualA 90-minute workshop to learn the technique for every movement in the programme and understand why each exercise matters - and a chance to meet everyone ahead of the weekly classes. This can be delivered in person or virtually, whichever works best for you.
Weekly Live Virtual Class
45 minutes via ZoomA virtual group class focused on functional strength and endurance, mobility and stability, with specific work on turn-out and posture. Recorded each week, so dancers can catch up seamlessly around holidays or sickness.
Weekly Pre-Recorded Class
30-minute independent sessionAn independent session to follow along each week, building training independence at a time that suits. Recommended once or twice weekly, with built-in rest days to avoid overtraining.
Guide & Custom App Access
Parents, teachers & dancersA digital resource explaining how this training supports performance and helps prevent injuries, plus full access to our custom coaching app (Everfit) with a community page for dancers to motivate one another.

Virtual Functional Fitness
A 45-minute live class on Zoom, suitable for most levels. Perfect if you have a busy life and struggle to find the time to get out to a gym class, or you have kit at home but no motivation to use it. A great addition to a structured weekly programme or alongside 1-1 PT.

Classes can be booked up to 24 hours before they start. Cancellations after 12 hours result in the loss of the class.
